This Healing Mission started in 2000 when I suggested to Col. Neil Gamboa, then 4th Marine Brigade Commander to change the nature of our Medical Mission to include Alternative Healers. Fortunately, the Command accepted the idea and since then, we have been having the Healing Mission yearly on the Marines Birthday.

We had an extra one in Matanog and Balabagan, two barangays just outside Camp Abubakar outside Cotabato in Mindanao in February-March 2001
